Position Summary
We are looking for a driven, technically-minded co-op student to join our Sales & Design team in our Abbotsford office. This hands-on role will expose you to the full project lifecycle, from initial client meetings to system design and final implementation. You will gain valuable experience in both the technical and client-facing aspects of the AV integration industry through mentorship and practical application. This role is open to students available for an 8 - 12 month term starting in May 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development Support: Assist the sales team in identifying new customers and projects across various sectors (hospitality, house of worship, corporate, etc.)
Consultative Discovery Assistance: Participate in client meetings to observe relationship building and deep-dive assessments of technical needs.
Technical Design Support: Work with lead Sales & Design Specialists, utilizing and learning AV expertise to create custom sound, video, and control system solutions.
Project Oversight Learning: Gain insight into the post-sale process, helping to ensure implementation meets design specifications and assisting with final client handover.
Documentation & Proposals: Support the creation of accurate quotes, design documentation, and project schedules that align with client budgets.
Qualifications and Skills
An interest or some background knowledge in AV (sales, installation, or technical operations) is beneficial.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation for site visits.
Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google software (Word, Excel, Sheets, Docs, Etc.)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Other Requirements
Upon Acceptance (costs reimbursed by Sapphire):
Three (3) year Driver’s Abstract.
Name-Based Criminal Record Check.
Smartphone with cellular data that can be used for occasional business purposes.
6-8” CSA-approved Green Triangle safety boots.
