Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of audiovisual (AV) projects, from planning and execution through client handoff and post-installation support. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Sapphire’s high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Project Manager works closely with the Site Leads, Design Technologists, Programmers, and Account Managers to drive alignment, resource coordination, and seamless delivery across teams. This role plays a key part in building client trust and enabling success across Sapphire’s installation and service delivery
operations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination
● Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of assigned projects from kickoff to closeout.
● Develop project schedules, task lists, and milestones within Odoo or approved project management tools.
● Coordinate with the Installation Manager, Service Delivery Manager, and internal teams to ensure resource alignment.
● Manage project documentation, including scope, schedules, and change requests.
Client Communication and Stakeholder Management
● Serve as the primary client contact for assigned projects, maintaining clear,
professional, and proactive communication.
● Conduct regular client updates, progress reviews, and handoff meetings.
● Address client concerns promptly and coordinate resolutions through the appropriate
internal channels.
● Ensure client expectations are clearly defined and met through consistent project
delivery.
Execution and Delivery
● Oversee day-to-day project progress and ensure adherence to Sapphire’s SOPs and quality standards.
● Coordinate tasks across cross-functional teams (Sales, Design, Programming, Field,
Procurement).
● Support field execution by ensuring all materials, documentation, and site conditions
are ready before deployment.
● Review system commissioning and ensure proper transition to Service.
Risk, Schedule, and Cost Control
● Monitor schedule performance and escalate potential delays or risks to the Service Delivery Manager as needed.
● Identify and mitigate potential issues affecting project quality, budget, or client
satisfaction.
● Manage scope changes through formal review and approval processes.
● Support financial visibility by maintaining accurate project tracking data within Odoo.
Quality and Handover
● Conduct project reviews and handoff meetings to ensure complete documentation and
client readiness.
● Verify installation quality, commissioning, and client sign-off prior to closeout.
● Collaborate with Services teams to ensure a smooth transition for post-installation support.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
● Partner with Sales Representatives, Site Leads, Field Supervisors, Programming, and
Design Technologists to maintain clear communication between teams.
● Participate in project debriefs to identify process improvements and recurring
challenges.
● Support consistency of workflows and templates across all projects.
Qualifications and Skills
● 3+ years of experience managing audiovisual (AV), construction, or IT integration
projects.
● Strong understanding of AV systems, installation practices, and integration workflows.
● Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
● Excellent communication, coordination, and client relationship skills.
● Experience using ERP, CRM, or project management tools (Odoo preferred).
● Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
● Familiarity with AVIXA, PMI, or ITIL methodologies is an asset.
Preferred Certifications:
● PMI PMP or CAPM (Project Management Professional / Certified Associate).
● AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D.
● Manufacturer certifications (Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, Dante, etc.) are considered an asset.
Other Requirements:
● Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
● Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
● Smartphone with data plan for occasional business use.
● CSA-approved 6–8” Green Triangle safety boots.
