About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting & Administrative Assistant with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable (AR) to support our busy finance department. This in-office position will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting functions, providing administrative support, and being the first point of contact for visitors to our office.

This role is ideal for a candidate with 2+ years of solid accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all Accounts Receivable processes including posting deposits/payments, and reconciliations

  • Generate and send regular AR reports; follow up on overdue balances as needed

  • Reconcile bank accounts and customer accounts

  • Assist with customer account setup

  • Process payroll and maintain related records

  • Support month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting

  • Assist in preparation of financial statements and cash flow reports

  • Respond to incoming inquiries via phone/email and greet office visitors

  • Manage front-of-house duties: office supply ordering, mail, and coffee/office 

  • Complete and organize outgoing/incoming correspondence

  • Support internal documentation for project-related accounting or financial needs

  • Collaborate with the Finance Director on ad hoc tasks and initiatives

  • Cross-train and assist other departments as required




Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in AR, general accounting, or finance administration

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with payroll processing and payroll legislation

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote and local team

  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Odoo or Monday.com is an asset, but not required

  • Must have reliable transportation to commute to our Abbotsford office

Compensation & Benefits
