Position Summary

We are looking for an Account Manager - Designer to join our Sales & Design team. This unique role combines strategic relationship management with technical system design. You won't just be managing client accounts; you’ll be the architect of their solutions. You must be comfortable in an office setting while frequently visiting client sites to nurture relationships and identify growth opportunities within new and existing accounts. This role offers a base salary plus commission, with on-target earnings ranging from $70,000 to $150,000 (uncapped).


Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Growth: Proactively manage client relationships, identifying opportunities to support and expand their systems across various sectors with a specific focus on house of worship and large performance venues.

  • Consultative Discovery: Meet with clients to build long-term partnerships and conduct deep-dive assessments of their ongoing technical needs.

  • Technical Design: Act as the lead designer, utilizing your AV expertise to create custom sound, video, lighting and control system solutions tailored to client goals.

  • End-to-End Project Oversight: Maintain a high level of involvement post-sale, ensuring the implementation meets design specs and overseeing the final handover to the client.

  • Proposal Management: Create accurate quotes and design documentation that align with client budgets and project expectations.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven background in AV (Sales, Account Management, Installation, or Technical Operations) is required.

  • Experience working in a house of worship and/or live production environment would be an asset.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google software (Word, Excel, Sheets, Docs, Etc.)

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize urgent matters.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presentations and long-term client relations.

  • Experience with control and DSP systems is beneficial in the design process.


Other Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation.

  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

  • Smartphone with cellular data that can be used for occasional business purposes.

  • Three (3) year Driver’s Abstract.

  • Name-Based Criminal Record Check.
