Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Logistics & Procurement Coordinator to join our Operations team in Calgary. This role is designed for an ambitious individual looking to establish a career within the Audiovisual (AV) industry from the ground up. The successful candidate will manage the physical logistics of our Calgary warehouse while providing support to our procurement department. This position offers a clear trajectory for professional growth into advanced roles such as Purchasing, Technical Installation, or Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations: Responsibilities include operating a forklift (certification provided), unloading vendor freight, and receiving inventory into our software system with high precision. Consolidate customer products and arrange outbound shipments for Just-in-Time delivery.

  • Inventory & Staging Management: Oversee the organization of secure storage areas and the staging of pallets for local installation teams and satellite branches. Maintain a structured, safe, and highly organized facility at all times.

  • Procurement & Data Administration: Support the procurement team by generating purchase orders, tracking vendor ETAs, and performing accurate data entry within Odoo, our Enterprise Resource Planning software.

  • Strategic Support: Cross-train with the Procurement Manager to provide operational redundancy. Over time, the Coordinator will assist in identifying procurement risks and managing logistics for large-scale integration projects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Organizational Excellence: Proven ability to manage complex physical environments and maintain meticulous digital records.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong computer literacy and a natural interest in Audio, Video, and Lighting technology.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface professionally with technicians, vendors, and management.

  • Career Ambition: A strong desire to master current responsibilities, improve existing systems, and advance within the organization.

  • Core Values Alignment: A commitment to being "All-In" and a passion for the AV industry are considered more critical than extensive prior experience.

  • Previous involvement (employment or volunteer) in a similar audiovisual integration company, house of worship or theatre environment is highly desirable.

Other Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse logistics.

  • Willingness to undergo forklift training and certification.

  • Smartphone with cellular data that can be used for occasional business purposes.

Upon Acceptance (costs reimbursed by Sapphire):
